OUR APPROACH

ECO DESIGN

Eco-design is an approach to the design and development of products, services, or systems that aims to reduce their environmental impacts throughout their entire life cycle.

This can include reducing resource consumption, decreasing waste generation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, or preserving biodiversity.

BioRenGaz has adopted an eco-design approach with the support of CCI Grand Est and Climaxion in the MakCCIng Durable  program.

WHAT WE RETAIN...

Eco-design initiatives should not be considered one-off actions but should be regularly repeated and integrated into continuous improvement processes. The MakCCIng Durable program has trained an eco-design leader within our organization, capable of conducting these studies regularly and over the long term.

The eco-design approach has allowed us to prioritize the environmental impacts of our product and provide solutions while validating their economic, technological, and environmental relevance.

The solutions currently under study mainly concern :

In terms of raw materials :

  • The choice of materials for tanks and piping ;

During the usage phase :

  • The possibility of heat recovery to reduce heating needs ;

  • Communication on eco-friendly practices aimed at reducing transportation-related impacts.
